OPENS IN SEPTEMBER 2019
Calling itself as one of the most romantic restaurants in London, Megan’s bridges the gap between in-door and outdoor dining with the lush indoor greenery alongside fairy lights and an intimate ambiance come evening time.
Aside from this restaurant being a cosy and intimate place to take a date, it’s also known for its all-day brunch and Mediterranean cooking influences. On the brunch menu, you can expect to find a host of Turkish breakfast options to feast on. From Turkish cheese fondue (yes they have this for brunch), to a selection of traditional shakshouka, with a choice of toppings. From halloumi to Turkish chorizo, you might be leaving your comfort zone when it comes to brunch, but the spicy tomato and egg dish may convert you for good.
On to the evening menu, and although shakshouka pops up on the menu again, there is lots of sharing plates, mezze and grill dishes to choose from. Opt for the Cokertme, Turkey's answer to steak and chips, if you want a variation on the British classic. The ‘posh kebabs’ in a range of meat, cheese and vegetable options also gives the late night kebab shops a run for their money.
If you fancy sharing, the small plates are filled with dishes from the sea, such as the gambas pil pil and calamari, as well as vegetarian options of spinach borek filo rolls and whipped feta with beetroot. Perfect as a starter, but equally good as a main if you want to try lots of different dishes.
Acting as both a great casual brunch spot to spend a lazy weekend in SW19 (it's dog friendly too so don’t forget to bring your pup along), and an intimate and romantic restaurant in the evening for dates and catch-ups, Megan’s gives casual Mediterranean dining a pretty setting and a modern facelift to cater perfectly to the Wimbledon crowd. Don’t forget to grab a pic for Insta before you leave either.
