The Fabulous K BAR at Kensington
Well.. Considering that I'm a big cocktail enthusiast and also biggest fan of speciality whiskies, this night turned me into one thirsty lover of the old charm niche cocktail bar that specialises in comfort home-like food at its best. Certainly a hidden gem location-wise, in the heart of kensington buzz, this place is a perfect hang out location for locals and visitor looking for a hip yet casual dining, drinking night out with familiar ingredients with a sophisticated twists.
The velvet, mahogany walls and leather feel like welcoming makes it feel like you are going to have a 'night out in town'. As going around you will be welcomed by antique like mirror frames, chandelier lamps and an old 'team' bookshelf installation to give that cozy impression and a pleasant drinking experience. The velvet colonial just topped it with the ambience of us having a comforting experience.
As for the food.. The kensington burger and chunky chips were the absolute explosion at first taste. The perfect amount of succulent burger and other ingredients made this dish go in seconds. As the saucy meat with various sauces came, my absolute favourite one was the barberquee. Being a classic burger lover, I took all the crumbs from the table to myself. For people that love good made burger with the right proportion of ingredients and spices, this is the true Mecca for those taste buds. Not being the classic western foodie, . The savoury dish was beautifully presented and flavoured. Not too crisp, nor plain, the meal was well cooked with a nice mild gravy sauce and some breaded starters. It was absolutely beautiful to look at and beyond heavenly tasting, The experimental cocktails and variety are another story of their own from queensgate garden, which was my absolute and only highlight for that night. I highly recommend that you check out this place
