The three friends who set up this light-hearted contemporary eatery had a simple concept in mind: ’12 menu items, 72 combinations, 1 destination’. Diner-style banquettes, rustic wood interiors,
restored lighting and retro paraphernalia celebrating cult figures such as Bob Dylan create just the right mood, while the food is based largely around the output of an open grill. Customers simply
pick their chosen meat, fish or veggie items, select from six sides (potato wedges, Caesar salad, brown rice with lentils etc) and seal the deal with one of HP’s homemade sauces. To finish there
are calorie-counted desserts ranging from gluten-free chocolate brownies to skinny cheesecake. Kids have their own ‘little grillers’ menu, and the drinks list includes special Hot Pink lager
(sourced from Germany), carafes of Bordeaux wine (red, white or rosé), juices, milkshakes and so on.
