The original intention of this lively, modish branch of the Hi Sushi chain was to fuse Japanese & South American cuisine, but the emphasis seems to have slowly shifted back to more mainstream Japanese flavours. The Latino spirit is still alive in the disco beats & vibrant rum cocktails, but the menu is a roll-call of sushi-house favourites. Young meedjah luvvies sit with their feet dangling at sunken tables & order rolls stuffed with spicy tuna, or soft-shell crab & avocado, wasabi king prawns, beef tenderloin in teriyaki sauce, or black cod in miso. Reasonable bento boxes (£12.50 for chicken teriyaki, miso soup, a salmon hand roll & rice) make the venue a popular lunchtime pit stop. When the sun shines, waterside dining by Camden Lock is a summertime treat.
