A Persian restaurant and food stall on the second floor of Camden Market’s Hawley Wharf, Patog is London’s first Persian street food concept. Bringing the vibrant flavours of Iran to the capital, Patog restaurant offers a unique casual dining experience perfect for weekend breakfasts, quick lunches, casual dinners and group gatherings. Think Persian kebabs, grill dishes, and saffron chicken stew with barberry sauce. The name, Patog, means ‘hang out’ a meaning reflected in the comfortable relaxed interiors of the restaurant.
Set beside the Regent’s Canal, it’s a modern but inviting space, featuring widely spaced tables, counter seating, and metallic accents throughout. The atmosphere is laid back and mirrors the vibrant and electric spirit of Camden Market, lending itself well to diners looking for a quick bite while out exploring the market.
Everything on the Patog menu is made fresh and cooked to order, using the finest ingredients and Halal meats. All meat dishes are marinated for at least three days, ensuring maximum flavour in every bite. The menu covers starters, grill dishes, kebab bowls, Patog stews and rice, along with sides and desserts. Highlights include mirza ghasemi, a classic starter from Northern Iran, made of roasted aubergines, tomato and garlic served with eggs and homemade pitta bread. Kebabs include joojeh torsh, with the meat marinated in pomegranate juice with walnuts and various herbs and spices.
You’ll also find a range of kebab wraps that include bandari chicken, vegan koobideh, chenjeh lamb filled with red onion salad and topped with the house sumac and garlic yoghurt sauce. Just be sure to save some room for a saffron ferini panna cotta style desert. As for the drinks, guests can expect Persian drinks like Doogh (a salty carbonated yoghurt drink) and Sharbat, a natural sour cherry fruit cordial.
