Located south of the river, this contemporary hotel adds some boutique gloss to suburban Surbiton – especially with its swanky Bosco Lounge. The menu cruises around the globe, picking up favourites along the way – from hot and cold sandwiches at lunchtime through to deli boards and small plates such as confit duck parcels. Otherwise, steaks, paprika-spiced chicken with couscous, fish and chips or Tamworth pork fillet with crushed sweet potato and plum chutney satisfy those with real hunger pangs. Weekend brunch is a special deal and the venue is hot on drinks too – Thursday night is mojito night, but the cocktail list also features margaritas, daiquiris, fishbowls, Brit-themed ideas and more besides (you can even enrol for one of their mixologist masterclasses). Live music, special events and regular DJs help to keep the mood upbeat.
