Located in the Bayswater area, just opposite Queensway station, The Park offers unique dining that blends the charm of a French brasserie with modern twists. It’s a New World Grand Cafe conceived by Jeremy King, the man behind The Wolseley and The Ivy and one half of the restaurant group Corbin & King. Whether it’s for business or pleasure, it’s a brilliant and welcoming restaurant in its own right, private dining at The Park takes things to new heights.
The Park boasts an inviting atmosphere throughout, with tasteful retro decor, lots of warm tones, large mirrors and intimate booths. But the private dining room at The Park is the jewel in its crown. Located in the lower ground floor and seating up to 12 guests at a central table, it’s a space that exudes old time elegance and contemporary style, featuring artistic mirrors, interesting artworks, candelabras and soft lighting. This luxurious but comfortable atmosphere marks private dining at The Park out as one of the more versatile spaces, whether it be for a business lunch, birthday dinner, or anniversary celebration.
The private dining room is available seven days a week, from breakfast through to dinner, serving set menus of exceptional fare. There are several private dining menus for each sitting to choose from, each at varying price points. All menus begin with snacks on arrival, including nocellara olives, and The Park’s signature bar nuts before a bread course of housemade bread and butter.
We like the look of the four course menu, which kicks off with homemade lobster ravioli served with tomato compote and dill oil; followed by lamb rump with courgettes, datterini tomatoes and pesto; a course of aged parmesan with honeycomb and endive; and a dessert of key lime pie with soured cream. A late harvest riesling makes a great accompaniment to the latter.
