On the hunt for a private dining room in southwest London? Shiuli is a contemporary Indian restaurant in Twickenham serving modern, sustainable plates and an expertly curated drinks list that’s perfect for your next special event. Whether you’re celebrating a milestone event such as a birthday or anniversary, or simply fancy getting the family together, this unique spot is sure to impress with its stunning food and friendly service.
While Shiuli is able to host groups of up to 100, when it comes to private dining, the restaurant boasts a semi-private space that can be hired for up to 22 guests. This offers groups the privacy of their own exclusive space, while still benefiting from the buzz of the main dining room. Better still, the semi-private room includes access to a quaint secret garden, should you like to include an alfresco element to your affair.
The menu features an array of modern dishes, and there are dedicated offerings for vegans and vegetarians. The menu is designed by Michelin-starred chef Alfred Prasad, who previously worked at Tamarind in Mayfair and helped retain its star for 12 years. Now, he brings his impressive experience to this neighbourhood spot.
Dishes span small plates, grills and mains, and are designed to be shared by the whole table. You might choose to start with the likes of samphire onion bhajis, Amritsari fish with herb chutney, steamed chicken momos and grilled scallops with tomato thokku. Main courses are just as intriguing, with the likes of Hariyali salmon marinated in ginger and lime leaf, Alleppey seabass in an aromatic sauce, and lamb shank roganjosh with kashmiri spices.
The drinks menu is headed up by sommelier, restaurateur and wine producer Jack Lewens, who has curated a list of wines, artisan gins, cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks to appeal to everyone.
