Restaurant St Barts is widely regarded as one of London’s best fine dining restaurants, serving a multi-course tasting menu that celebrates British cooking and ingredients.
Opened in October 2022, Restaurant St Barts was opened by long-term friends Johnnie Crowe, Luke Wasserman and Toby Neill, as the latest addition to a restaurant group that also includes Nest, and Nest Farmhouse in North Norfolk. A year later, the restaurant won a Michelin star, as well as a Michelin Green star, awarded to restaurants that display commitment to sustainable practices. At the time of writing, it is the only restaurant in London to hold both awards.
The interiors are designed minimally, using a mixture of stone and natural wood to create interiors that feel simple, peaceful and organic. Floor-to-ceiling windows look out onto the famous Church of Bartholomew the Great in Farringdon - from which the restaurant takes its name - making this a truly special place to host a private dinner.
Restaurant St Barts doesn’t at present have a private dining room, but the restaurant is available for partial or exclusive private hire. Private guests can hire half the restaurant for groups of up to 18, or they can take over the restaurant exclusively, with capacity for up to 35 very lucky guests.
Dishes in St Barts’ intricate tasting menus all tell a story of seasonal British produce, with most dishes only featuring two or three ingredients. At the time of writing, dishes on the menu include scallop with cobnuts and peppers, lobster with blackcurrant leaf, and veal sweetbread with pumpkin. Restaurant St Barts has also won awards for its wine lists, and offers drinks pairings to go with the menu, as well as boasting an extensive wine list.
