Leith is a port area in Edinburgh, and sits at the mouth of the Water of Leith. This beautiful part of the capital is like no other, with so much beauty, a hub of eating and drinking spots, independent shops and plenty of culture. The original harbour dates back to the 14th century and has been visited by many monarchs, from Mary Queen of Scots to King George IV. Leith is one of Edinburgh's 12 neighbourhoods, and has its own, very distinct style and character. Being an eclectic part of the city, Leith has a buzzing arts and culture scene and is much loved by creatives, young professionals and families with little ones.
