Just a short walk from Edinburgh Waverley, you'll find Hawksmoor Edinburgh, sitting proud in a grade A-listed building that was once the National Bank of Scotland Banking Hall. The restaurant has been gently refurbished, so guests still get to see the magnificent building in all its glory whilst dining on the menus that made Hawksmoor one of the UKs great restaurant success stories - wonderful steaks, comforting sides, sauces and more, alongside a serious collection of fine wines and some cracking signature cocktails.
Hawksmoor Edinburgh has not one, but two private dining rooms available for a range of exclusive events. The McLellan Room - named after Scottish artist Sadie McLellan - is ideal for smaller groups, with room for up to 13 guests around a circular dining table, whilst the grand Tellers' Room has space for up to 46 guests, and makes for a versatile, bright and spacious dining space that can work for private and corporate events. The Tellers' Room was once the heart of the Banking Hall, where tellers would received and paid out cash to the public, and it has been lovingly restored with original window settings, leather seating, reclaimed parquet flooring and limestone walls.
Private diners can choose from a range of Hawksmoors sharing menus, that all feature a selection of classic Hawksmoor dishes. Start off with smoked mackerel salad, potted beef and bacon with Yorkshire puddings, and roasted scallops, before moving onto a selection of sizzling steaks, sauces and sides. Vegetarian and pescatarian options are available, as is pudding, which includes seasonal fruit pavlovas and Hawksmoor's beloved sticky toffee pudding.
Don't forget about Hawksmoor's drinks options either - the restaurant boasts a significant wine collection, as well as loads of signature and classic cocktails.
