Got a penchant for Indian street food? Then, you need to check out Cafe Spice Namaste - the funky, contemporary Indian restaurant offering a cool take on this cuisine. You'll find the eatery in a modern complex with killer views out over the Thames, located in the Docklands, just on the edge of the Royal Albert Wharf.
High ceilings and huge windows fill the space with light, complemented by the statement bar, boho-chic interiors and a mezzanine, which is the perfect place to host an event or special dinner. Here, the team have facilitated workshops and tastings, networking events and birthday dinners - you name it, they can pull it off. So, if you're planning an event, be sure to enquire about Cafe Spice Namaste's picturesque mezzanine.
Of course, the main reason to pay the cafe a visit is its brilliant food. The menu is a la carte and balances a good mix of dishes to suit a variation of tastes and vegetarian options, with carefully curated dishes that pack a flavour punch.
On the signatures list, guests are encouraged to try the likes of the Parsee Masala roasted shank of lamb simmered in a tomato based sauce and flavoured with whole spices, alongside a Cafe Spice Namaste classic, the Goan pork vindaloo. The main menu offers some smaller plates for sharing, such as batata murros which are crushed potatoes, part roasted and fried, and drizzled with herbs, alongside slow-cooked black urad beans and cured and smoked breast of barbary duck in spices and soy.
You can't miss out on the sweet treats, either. We like the sound of the cardamom and nutmeg caramel pudding, as well as the samosa apple crumble hybrid, served with vanilla ice cream.
And, if you're having an event elsewhere and looking for catering options, the Cafe Spice Namaste team can help you with external requests as well!
