Whether your team is located in the Docklands or you're just looking for an out-of-the ordinary events space for the festive season, take a look at Cafe Spice Namaste for your next Christmas party. You may well recognise the name, as Namaste has a long history in London, originally starting with a restaurant in Whitechapel back in the 1990s. Today, founder and chef Cyrus Todiwala pours all of his experience and passion for both Goan cuisine and Parsee food into the Docklands location.
Sitting on the edge of the Royal Albert Wharf, the eatery's contemporary home boasts high ceilings and huge windows, with amazing views of the Thames and plenty of natural light. You'll love the space, which has a boho-chic style and is grounded by the statement bar covered in patterned tiles, as well as stylish flourishes such as huge pendants and plenty of plants.
As for hosting your team, the mezzanine is the perfect space for getting together over good food and drinks. The space is semi-private, so you won't be interrupted by other guests but you'll still benefit from the hubbub of the restaurant below. Here, workshops, tastings, networking events or birthday parties have all been held - it's a flexible space with plenty of room, so simply chat to the team about your wants and needs.
When it comes to food, we know you won't be disappointed. The a la carte menu is sizable, with lots of options and vegetarian dishes, and yet not overwhelming. You can order some smaller dishes for the table, such as classic tandoor marinated halloumi, alongside cured and smoked breast of barbary duck and beetroot and coconut samosa chaat.
Larger dishes include masala spiced roasted chicken served in a mild white curry with coconut and cashew, as well as classic Goan curry which is a must for anyone visiting for the first time.
