Looking for a cool, casual venue to host your special event in West London? Well, look no further because The Holland could just be the perfect fit. This classic London pub has all the hallmarks of an authentic boozer brought into the 21st century; rustic wooden flooring, bottle-green metro tiling and a homely vibe.
While the ground floor is a lovely, open-plan space for a drink, lunch or dinner, the first-floor dining room is where the party really starts. Here, the team are more than happy to accomodate private dining requests including birthdays, corporate functions and even wedding receptions. The space feels light and airy, benefitting from huge period-style windows, and with its exposed brick walls and simple wooden furniture, is an authentic setting to be taken over and transformed to match the theme of your celebration.
This room's capacity can cater for 40 people seated and up to 50 standing for drinks and canapes. It's a fabulous place to hold a drinks reception for a networking event or gathering, or create one long communal dining table right down the centre.
Generally speaking, private dining events are curated with their own set menu depending on the produce available at the time, but the restaurant's menus do offer a flavour of head chef Max de Nahlik's cooking. Favouring British fare and seasonal ingredients, examples of dishes from the menu include fennel salami and kohlrabi remoulade, house bread with black garlic, olives and almonds for the table, followed by pork scrumpet with wild garlic kimchi, or langoustines with aioli and lemon to start.
Current mains include pork collar with broccoli rabe and rhubarb, lemon sole with wild garlic butter and brown shrimp, or a sharing dish of 1kg rib of beef with red wine sauce, which would be a show-stopper on a feasting table. And, of course, no party is complete without a delicious selection of drinks, and luckily The Holland knows its stuff when it comes to wine, cocktails and beers.
