This historical venue in the iconic Victoria Quarter of Leeds will make for the perfect setting for any large-scale special events. With high ceilings and plush furnishings, The Cut and Craft oozes sophistication and luxury without sacrificing comfort. Once the notorious Collinson’s Cafe, the venue is proud of its storied history and connection to the notorious Titanic. In its former life The Cut and Craft was home to Wallace Hartley’s string quartet, before he left to board the Titanic as bandmaster. One of the few items discovered of Hartley’s from the Titanic was a silver matchbox engraved with ‘from Collinson’s staff Leeds’.
Since opening, The Cut and Craft have been awarded numerous titles, both for their food and interiors. Inspired by the delicious steaks they had encountered throughout their travels, owners Oscar Akgul and Osman Doganozu sought to create a quality steak house in their Yorkshire hometown. Working alongside a local butcher, they have succeeded in their mission, offering several cuts of 60-day-aged Aberdeen Angus steak to their Leeds clientele. The menu is not limited to steaks, serving an array of equally delicious and luxurious dishes.
The stunning venue is available to hire for private events, with options to hire the venue in its entirety, or just the first-floor mezzanine area, for smaller events that will still make a large impact. Begin your event with an extravagant Champagne and cocktail reception, complete with canapes prepared by the chef's team.
The venue is receptive to planning completely bespoke events, with a dedicated guest experience manager to help guide you through the process, ensuring your special event is everything you had hoped for. The large space means you can host both a standing reception, and a seated dinner. While The Cut and Craft offer a menu for private events, the team are open to altering this to fit your requirements and desires, allowing you to design your own set menu.
