Pythouse Kitchen Garden, nestled within the South Wiltshire countryside, really is the most magical of places. At its core, this is a garden restaurant, utterly focused on creating sustainable, considered dishes in-tune with the seasons. The team forage and gather daily to collect the best fruit, vegetables and herbs, while working in-line with local producers, farmers and suppliers. If you're looking to host a special dinner, you can speak to the team about booking a larger table in the restaurant or, for up to 12 people, there's the Chef's Table.
In the summer, you'll be treated to a gorgeous spot on the terrace, while in winter, the potting shed is a cosy setting for a special occasion. Created by chef Darren Broom, the seasonal menu is ever-changing but includes a welcome drink, delicious nibbles and a starter, with an array of cuts that can be grilled over the fire. Think dishes like Haunch of wild Somerset venison served with fermented Wimborne blueberries and red hispi cabbage, next to Nempnett Pastures chicken with cavolo nero, kohlrabi and pancetta.
Want to try something a little more out there? How about the Glamping Village which is situated at the bottom of the garden and includes a mix of luxury tipis and shepard's huts where up to 24 people can stay for the weekend. There's everything you need including a family dining area, well equipped kitchenette, a breakfast and cocktail bar, top-of-the-range WCs and piping hot showers. Here, you can host beautiful al fresco lunches or dinners in your own exclusive area, decorated with rustic wooden seating and fairy lights.
If looking into a Christmas occasion, the team also have some wonderful plans up their sleeves. You can book a Christmas dining experience for 25 people or less, or for parties of up to 65 people, you can take over the conservatory exclusively for your own festive bash.
