What are the new high-spec conference spaces at Barbican all about?

Barbican-lovers, brace yourself – the venue will open two new events spaces this summer. The cultural hub will repurpose Cinemas 2 and 3 to double as a setting for a range of corporate events. Don’t worry, they will still operate as cinemas, but a redesign and upgrade means they have more diverse options.
In the latest push by the venue to ‘bring the arts and commercial offering ever closer together,’ the new conferencing suites will host up to 150 people each, with state-of-the-art HD projection and AV facilities.
Conference registration and food and beverage areas will be created from existing parts of the Barbican as the building's use becomes evermore flexible. Both cinemas will still screen the best new international film releases, alongside hosting conferences – the idea is to maximise the use of the space during the day times, when film screenings aren’t scheduled.
Barbican is already a fully-equipped conference and events space, so a specialised team is available to tie food and beverage plans into bespoke conferencing arrangements.
