Each week, we pick one of our favourite venues and explain why it’s made the cut
This
organisation may exist to protect the wetlands and their wildlife, but it also has some cracking private spaces at its London location. We love the light and bright Water’s Edge room for the huge windows that look out across lakes and pools. A buffet-style lunch can seat 120, and the wooden decked balcony is a welcome addition come summertime. Elsewhere, the Tower suits smaller meetings for up to 25 and the 80-seat theatre has three large cinema screens to make use of.
What’s so good about it?
The location feels very peaceful and remote, but is still extremely accessible from central London. This rural vibe comes from the venue’s 100 acres of lakes, pools and meadows, all of which make Hammersmith seem much further than a 10-minute walk away. Plus there’s ample parking for those that are coming from further afield.
Why do bookers love it?
Its unique locale impresses clients, for an added feel-good boost, if you host an event here, you’ll be making a contribution to the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust’s conservation efforts.
