Ever heard of Borthwick Castle? It’s one of Scotland’s best kept 15th-century chateaus that has been transformed into a corporate haven. To celebrate its launch into the MICE market, heavily discounted daily delegate rates (DDR) are now on offer for exclusive use of the space.
This can be somewhere truly special to hold your conference – you can have board meetings, dinners, galas and teambuilding in the castle’s three event spaces for between 15 and 60 delegates. The £85pp DDRs include lunch prepared by award-winning chef Derek Johnstone.
The Great Hall (which once hosted Mary Queen of Scots) can be configured in several ways to host everything from receptions, meetings, and product launches during the day. Equally, it can be transformed into a great setting for a banquet dinner in the evening.
The State Room is an elegant reception space that can work really well for breakout sessions during the day or a pre-dinner drinks reception. The Garrison (located right at the top of the castle) crowns the property and provides beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.
Fancy a spot of fencing or bagpipe lessons to boost the moral? The castle has a number of teambuilding activities that you can hand-pick to tailor your event. Laser clay shooting, archery and mini highland games are options too, and the whiskey tasting will undoubtedly be fun.
Located a mere 30 minutes outside of
Edinburgh, Borthwick Castle provides the opportunity of checking out one of Scotland’s most exciting cities, while having the peace, quiet and fresh air of the countryside.
Need to stay overnight? The castle offers thirteen charming bedrooms, including the newly refurbished Gatehouse.
The offer is only available for events booked and held before the end of 2018. Get in touch with the team by clicking the button below.
