You'll no doubt have heard of Megan's, the small, London-based chain which prioritises cosy spaces and crowd-pleasing food. Well, Megan's Clapham Old Town is one of the brand's most-loved spaces, with a large floor space, multiple areas and the perfect facilities to throw a party.
The team at Megan's are big on parties and welcome large groups across all of their sites, but Clapham Old Town is special thanks to its large capacity. There's no hire fee, just a minimum spend, so you could even take over the entire place and host up to 400 friends, family or colleagues standing, or 200 if seated. In the main part of the restaurant, you'll find The Tree Room which gets its name from the beautiful, life-sized tree in the middle of the space, illuminated with glowing fairylights. Here, you can host 80 people standing or 50 people seated.
Then, there's the Flower Area, which is a stylish, atmospheric space along the front of the restaurant, with enough capacity for 80 people standing or 50 people seated. Finally, The Lounge, is the smallest of the spaces, with enough room for 60 people seated or 70 standing.
Megan's Clapham Old Town offers food and drinks packages to make planning your event as easy as possible. For example, you can plan welcome drinks for your guests, accompanied by half a bottle of wine, beers, cocktails like espresso martinis or even a magnum of wine.
For a drinks and nibbles-style soiree, the canapes selection is perfect with options like calamari with piri piri and garlic yoghurt, alongside falafel and harissa hummus, and sucuk ‘turkish chorizo’ bites with honey glaze. Or, opt for a sharing menu with large, feasting dishes like chargrilled chicken thighs or crispy sea bass fillet, for a big group, followed by a dessert board of brownies, Nutella cookies and baklava.
