Available for private dining and exclusive hire, The Hound offers a traditional Christmas atmosphere, great food, and intimate but spacious interiors. Put simply, it’s the best of both worlds. Found just minutes from Turnham Green Station, The Hound is a modern coaching inn set inside a former Victorian police station. It's the third collaboration between JKS Restaurants and Dominic Jacobs, joining The Cadogan Arms in Chelsea and The George in Fitzrovia.
The Front Room, an inviting reception area with a burning log fire seems made for festive drink and canape receptions with up to 40 guests. Think, red leather seating, panelled walls, and intricate carpets. The Green Room, found tucked away towards the end of the pub floor is more modern in comparison. With sage green walls, dark wood chairs and banquette seating it’s a great spot for feeding the merrymakers. Plus, you can request a DJ or make use of a high-definition projector if you’re handing out end-of-year awards.
Alternatively, if you’re looking to host a more intimate Christmas party at The Hound, the private dining room, also known as ‘The Clink’ comes with all the intimate charm you could wish for. With dark green walls, and a long banquet-style candlelit table seating 18, it was formerly made up of three prison cells, the exposed brick ceilings of which have been preserved. All spaces, including The Courtyard, covered with a retractable glass roof, can be hired out collectively to accommodate up to 180 guests.
Festive food at The Hound takes the form of set feasting menus. So picture lamb Wellington, roast cuts and all your favourite trimmings. Plus, executive chef John Sparks along with James Knappett (of the two Michelin-star Kitchen Table in Fitzrovia) are at the helm, so it’s pretty much a sure win.
