We think Linden House in South West London has the right idea when it says: 'private dining is the new going out'. For special occasions, for example, a Christmas party, impressing your gang with their very own venue and exclusive space makes for a much more memorable night than just another night out at the local pub or bar.
Linden House is a beautiful, period building spanning across four storeys in a unique location on the River Thames, just outside of Hammersmith. While the first recordings of its existence are in 1795, word has it the building's history may go back all the way to the 1600s. With its dollhouse-like facade, ornate balcony and pretty courtyard out front, it benefits from all the original features you would hope for.
Across the house there are three private dining spaces to choose from, with the largest being the Ballroom with a capacity of 80 people standing and 68 seated. Its stand-out features include huge windows and a flexible lay-out, meaning you can plan drinks and canapes, a buffet or sit-down meal - whatever works for you. The Captain's Room is also on the ground floor but ideal for smaller get-togethers, particularly an intimate dinner. 24 people can be gathered together around a central table here, or 30 when standing. And, finally, The Commodore’s Room offers plenty of personality with blue-toned walls and stunning features, with capacity for 24 seated or 20 standing.
Every booking will receive its own events manager to ensure your festive bash comes off without a hitch. There's also optional access to AV equipment, and of course, wifi. As for catering, this is supplied in house and the website offers an impressive mix of sample menus across canapes, buffets, bowl food, cheese plates and more.
