The Coal Shed is a fantastic option for your Christmas party with plenty of space, a cool aesthetic and the perfect location, close to London Bridge. The restaurant is set over two floors and has been designed specifically for events, with a main restaurant, private dining room and two mezzanine options, all of which can be hired out seperately or together.
If you're looking for a more intimate space, the private dining room offers seating for between 14 to 20 people, depending on the layout of the room. There's also access to a swanky TV and all the tech you might need to do a presentation or meeting, perhaps to address your team's wins over the last year.
The mezzanine is a larger, more open area with plenty of atmosphere and benefitting from the buzz of the restaurant. Here, you can seat up to 46 people or increase this number to 55 when standing for cocktails and nibbles.
Now, if you really want to impress your team, why not take over the entire place? Yup, that's right - the main restaurant can be all yours with enough capacity for 100 people seated or 150 standing. This would certainly impress the office and finish the year with a bang.
As for the food, The Coal Shed is owned by the Black Rock hospitality company who is known for Brighton-based restaurant like Burnt Orange and The Salt Room. The menu focuses on championing seasonal, British product, with the team citing the 35-day, dry aged Scottish steaks from the Lake District or fresh fish and crustaceans from the South Coast as hero dishes, especially when cooked on the signature hot coals, from which the restaurant gets its name.
The team provide group menus for group bookings, so check the website or ask the team about their festive offering.
