If you've been tasked with organising this year's office Christmas party, we think an evening at one of Hove's most stylish restaurants is sure to impress your colleagues.
Rockwater has a brilliant position right down on the seafront and with a glass-fronted facade, benefits from spanning views of the beach. Well equipped to host private festive events, the space is split across two levels, offering two options to suit your shindig.
Downstairs on the ground level you'll find The Lodge; this space is more informal, studded with big, cosy armchairs in a plethora of pastel shades. Stylish and sophisticated, it's perfect for hosting between 15 and 120 people for drinks, roving snacks and an evening of socialising. While it might be a little chilly in December, The Lodge also leads out directly to a festoon-lit patio with more seating and even the option to use the food truck, which would be a fun twist to the night.
If planning a sit-down dinner, though, the roof terrace might be a better option. Don't worry, in winter its retractable glass roof is well and truly overhead, but you still benefit from beautiful views and the twinkling lights outside. Here, dining tables are set up and can be reconfigured into smaller groups or long, banquet-style dining, however you prefer. The roof terrace can seat up to 150 people, or if you'd prefer to dance the night away, tables can be moved aside for a standing party of up to 200.
Food options will need to be discussed with the team, but you can expect some of the freshest seafood in East Sussex and a selection of over-the-grill dishes for those who prefer meat or plant-based dishes. From oysters and crab pots, to pizzas and paninis, there's plenty of options to suit everyone.
