If you take your food and wine seriously, then Clarette is a guaranteed good time for your next Christmas party. The wine list here is so extensive it’ll give any restaurant in London a run for its money, whilst the food showcases the best of French flavours offering everything from langoustine and rhubarb to apricot tarte and passionfruit custard. The menu changes with the seasons, so on the run up to Christmas you can expect plenty of festive flavours and comforting dishes.
The restaurant was born through a love of wine, with Alexandra Petit-Mentzelopoulos, of the Château Margaux family, and Natsuko Perromat du Marais, a leading restaurateur, wanting to bring a unique choice to the next generation of wine lovers. With such a vast list, you’ll find options from across the globe, including English sparklings, German Rieslings and even Japanese sakes.
With its mock tudor style exterior, and old stain glass windows, it may come as a surprise to see the contemporary and colourful interior - think pink and blue colour themes, gold accented bars and laminate flooring.
Clarette is well equipped for a party, and is able to cater to a variety of sizes to ensure the right fit for everyone. If you’re looking for an intimate affair, you can hire the Salon Prive room, which is able to hold 18 seated and 25 standing, and is a perfect space for getting together for festive dinner parties.
For a slightly bigger event, the Dining Room can be hired, with a capacity for 30 seated and 45 standing, or alternatively there is an option for exclusive hire of the venue, with space for up to 100 guests. No matter what size you’re looking for, Clarette offers a cosy space to get into the festive spirit and sample a variety of top quality wines.
