If you've been landed with organising this year's office Christmas party, we know that it's not always the easiest of tasks. While London is full of potential venues, it can be hard to find somewhere with a convenient location, an event-optimised space and a breadth of meal options, to suit your needs. The good news is, Holmes Hotel has all this and more. Located just a short walk from Baker Street and Marylebone stations, this luxury hotel boasts a purpose-built, five-room events suite called The Residence. Within which you'll find everything from intimate snugs for a dinner of eight people, to the large Gallery space which has room for up to 80 guests, or you can combine two spaces together for a larger capacity of 100.
Spaces can be reconfigured to suit your group - whether that means a presentation before dinner, a drinks and canapes reception or a dancefloor later on. While set menus are available, the team are more than happy to work with you to create a tailor-made plan for your event including bespoke menus, drinks packages and entertainment. Speaking of food, though, the hotel's in-house restaurant, Kitchen at Holmes, has prepared three sample menus, each sitting in a different cost bracket.
Each one offers three courses, starting with nibbles to share like grilled octopus with romesco, charred leeks and za'atar, alongside pita and feta whipped, taggiasca olives, pistachio and za'atar. For main dishes, your group is welcome to select their choice from the likes of pan fried hake with pearl barley, prawns orzotto, woodland mushrooms and lime, grilled Ribeye with Barolo, bone marrow sauce and sautéed new potatoes.
As for dessert, the basque burnt cheesecake sounds delicious, as does the choux praline. One of the brilliant things about dining at Holmes Hotel, of course, is that there's plenty of space to stay afterwards. Speak to the team about booking a selection of rooms beforehand for your team.
