A market town and civil parish in Buckinghamshire, Beaconsfield is a charming part of mid England. Beaconsfield is near the Chiltern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and you'll find plenty of gorgeous architecture in this market town – from Georgian and Tudor architecture to everything in between. Although it's not a big town, Beaconsfield is home to the very first model village in the world, and so it gets a fair bit of tourism. There is the Old and the New Town in Beaconsfield, both of which have charms to them like shops, pubs and a weekly market. Enid Blyton lived in Beaconsfield from 1938 until she passed in 1968, and perhaps the town inspired her when writing the Famous Five, Secret Seven and Little Noddy series.
