Nothing says cosy at Christmas quite like a good pub - and The Kings Arms offers the ultimate combination of traditional feel whilst remaining contemporary. Immaculately decorated throughout, you’ll find exposed brick walls, dark wooden panelling, and stained glass windows, as well as plenty of natural light, marble table tops and plush green seating.
If you’re looking to book a Christmas party, then there are plenty of options here, no matter what size you need. For things such as smaller team meals, you can use The Courtroom, with a long banquet style table able to cater for 12 people, or you can opt for the Angevin Quarter room that can take 18 seated or 30 standing.
For larger events, there is also The House Brasserie dining room which sits at the heart of the pub, offering an informal space with seating for up to 60 people. Alternatively, there is The Menagerie which brings a more conservatory feel, whilst still including plenty of original features such as a fireplace. This room can hold 75 seated and 100 standing, so is perfect for bigger groups ready to get into the festive spirit. It’s also worth noting that there is a courtyard at the rear of the building, by the main entrance.
Especially for Christmas, this award-winning pub has worked with local suppliers and farmers to create an impressive festive menu. If organising a cocktail party-style affair, choose a selection of canapes which can be pre-ordered with an accompanying glass of fizz. Think the likes of smoked haddock croquette with smoked herring caviar, alongside Scottish smoked salmon with dill and prawn mousse.
As for traditional Christmas dinners with all the trimmings, two or three course options are available, with a range of sides and even a cheese course to end, too. For starters there's small plates like twice baked cheddar soufflé with winter truffle mornay, while main dishes offer both classic options such as Worcestershire free range turkey ballotine with confit leg bon bon and duck fat roasted potatoes with charred sprouts, or something a bit different like monkfish thermidor, lobster mornay, Parmesan crumb and sautéed potatoes.
