With pride of place in leafy Maida Vale, Janan Bar & Restaurant offers a unique setting to host your wedding reception, with plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Close to Paddington Station and Warwick Avenue, this area is known as Little Venice thanks to the abundance of little waterways, as well as the proximity of the Regent's Canal, which is just a few minutes walk from the restaurant.
Although Janan is primarily known as a neighbourhood Persian restaurant, it also hosts a wide range of private functions, events and celebrations, including wedding meals and receptions. The first thing you'll see as you reach the restaurant is the large open courtyard, which is laden with trees and foliage as well as plenty of space for tables. This area is very flexible and can easily be adapted to suit an al fresco drinks party or similar.
Head down a set of spiral stairs and you'll find the main restaurant and bar, which features bold, artistic design, maximalist wallpaper and huge crystal chandeliers. The dining room's large circular tables are perfect for a wedding meal and the room can be laid out in various compositions to suit all sorts of different wedding dinners. There is also a private dining room available for more intimate functions, as well as a sound system through which you can play your own music.
Janan ordinarily serves traditional Persian food, including mezze dishes like mirza ghasemi (roasted aubergine in a tomato and garlic sauce with a fried egg), skewers and lamb chops from the open fire grill, traditional stews, sweets and more. That said, the team is very flexible and serves a range of international food too, so you can chat to the team with any requests to plan your own meal.
