London weddings are becoming ever-more popular, but if you're looking for an innately cool venue with sophisticated design and authentic cuisine, you might be overwhelmed with choice. Sitting pretty in Chelsea, Enoteca Turi is a timeless restaurant with over 30 years of experience under its belt in welcoming both locals and out of towners.
Over this time it's gained a brilliant reputation for serving up beautifully-crafted Italian cuisine, alongside a 300-bottle strong wine list, awarding the restaurant recognition from the likes of the Michelin Guide. For almost all of that time, the restaurant has been owned by Pam and Giuseppe Turi who recently retired and handed the business over to the safe hands of veteran restauranteur Dominic Ford and wine expert David Gleave MW. The pair have promised to protect its legacy as well as welcome in an exciting new era.
While the main restaurant is a tasteful, atmospheric space, for private dining events, the underground cellar is the perfect place for an intimate dinner. Here, you have exclusive use of the space, with room for cocktails and socialising, before enjoying a sit-down dinner for up to 28 people.
The room itself is hued in a moody charcoal-grey, and features sleek mid century-inspired design and the obligatory displays of wine bottles and cases, perfect for cool, city. couples. You are, of course, encouraged to decorate the space with floral installations and candles, and the team will be more than happy to help you arrange this.
In terms of the food, while there is a set menu example available online, the chefs will work with you to create a tailor-made menu which reflects your tastes and your special day. Simply speak to the team about what you'd like to see, usually across three courses and sides. However, if you'd like some inspiration, the main menu offers dishes like Roast Rhug Estate organic lamb with courgettes and oven dried tomatoes, which sounds delicious.
