There are pub weddings, and then there's the Cadogan Arms. This iconic public house has stood for two centuries and in 2021 underwent a lavish revamp to bring it into the 21st-century with a glamorous twist. Of course, on your wedding day a beautiful backdrop is a must, and with the Cadogan Arms you won't be disappointed.
The space is defined by the warm-toned wooden panelling which covers the walls, complementing an ornate, carved ceiling and hefty chandelier. The bar is incredibly detailed with a mix of carvings, woodwork and tiling, as well as flanking stained glass panels. It really is like stepping back in time with an opulent twist and all the modern comforts you could need.
Situated close to the King's Road, not only is the Cadogan Arms in a gorgeous area with great transport links for guests, it's also only a short walk from Chelsea Old Town Hall, a chic spot to tie the knot. Plus, local florist Lavender Green is on-hand to help with floral arrangements, knowing the space and being a favourite supplier of the venue.
Getting down to business, there are several spaces available you can hire for your special day. The bar area is perfect for drinks and canapes before a sit-down dinner. Between 15 to 20 people are welcome to enjoy cocktails and nibbles here, up until 7pm and alongside other patrons of the pub. The dining room is also available if you fancy a very early wedding breakfast, being available between 9am and 12pm for 35 guests seated or 50 standing.
Then, there's the Rose Room, which is the only exclusively private space, located on the lower-ground floor and named after the Rose and Crown, which opened on the site in the 1600s. Luxurious red velvet seats and a dark crimson, high-shine ceiling make this space an unforgettable setting for the party of the year, with capacity for 35 guests seated and 50 standing.
