You can get married at a picturesque vineyard with stunning views out across 265 acres of lush greenery, and no, we're not talking about eloping to Italy or France. Denbies Wine Estate is one of the UK's most beautiful, independent estates, based in the idyllic Surrey Hills, overlooking the North Downs and Box Hill.
Since the 1980s, this privately-owned estate has been making a name for English wines and today is an elegant complex of high-end restaurants, a vaulted wine cellar for tastings, its very own hotel and a gorgeous spread of wedding day facilities.
The team is so excited to host your civil ceremony with plenty of options for up to 180 guests. You could tie the knot in the romantic Courtyard Pavilion, located al fresco in the centre of the winery, or the stylish Garden Room which shows off exposed brick walls, huge windows and tented ceiling - just to name a few.
There's an impressive six different spaces available for your reception, too, such as The Conservatory which brings an inside-outside feel with its marquee-style walls, glass ceiling and central water feature. You could opt for a unique backdrop in the underground cellars which feature vaulted ceilings and dark wooden barrels piled high, creating an atmospheric, cosy vibe.
For a sophisticated aesthetic, The Gallery Restaurant is positioned on the third floor and benefits from large windows which make the most of the views, as well as tonnes of natural light. Here, cream furnishings and paired-back design make room for your own wedding day vision, or look sumptuously chic as is.
To make planning your day as easy as possible, the team have devised five different packages to suit all sizes, budgets, tastes and areas of the estate. For example, for micro weddings the Wine Library Package caters for up to 20 guests in the private dining space and includes canapes, three-course meal, wines to toast and enjoy throughout, as well as teas, coffees and sweet treats.
