Based in Surrey and searching for somewhere out of the ordinary to host your special event? We have just the place. Denbies Wine Estate is located in the stunning Surrey Hills, looking out across the North Downs and over 200 acres of lush vineyards. Since establishing in the late 1980s, this proud-to-be independent vineyard has grown to be one of the biggest single estates in the UK and has consistently added to its site.
That's right, not only can guests enjoy a tour of the grounds, wine tastings and lunch or dinner in the portfolio of elegant restaurants, but there's even the Vineyard Hotel for those who want to stay the night - perhaps, after a private party held in Denbies Wine Library. Indeed, an extension of the ground-floor Vineyard Restaurant, the Wine Library is its own cosy lounge and dining area, hidden away within a unique and modern space.
Its design is impressively considered, with the building's curved shape representing a wine barrel, while inside the walls are accessorised with the likes of antique riddling racks. The space's show-stopper is a floor-to-ceiling wine wall displaying Denbies vintages dating back to 1993, a feature which always wows guests. Here, you can host up to 22 people and will have the whole space exclusively. You can either plan a seated dinner, or take over the Wine Library for pre or post dinner drinks and socialising.
As for the food, the menu changes seasonally but starters might look like chicken and black pudding terrine with apricot gel and balsamic pearls or roulade of leek with parsley sauce and frisee salad. For mains, there's dishes like pan-fried chicken supreme with potato pavé, roasted vine tomato, caramelised shallots and red wine jus, or vegetarian options like vegetable wellington served with parmentier potato and enoki mushroom jus.
