The Yew Tree is an authentic Indian bar and grill, where diners can enjoy a huge selection of dishes and drinks. The restaurant is a relaxed, convivial space, where groups can feast through the evening, in one of the cosy booths or even hire out the restaurant for events and celebrations. Not far from Sandwell and Dudley station, The Yew Tree is easily accessible by rail or car, making it a great spot for a catch-up with friends, family or colleagues.
Start off your meal here with the classic poppadoms, served with a selection of sauces and fresh onion salad. From there, diners can enjoy spicy starters like paneer tikka, sizzling chicken wings, samosas, fish pakoras and lamb chops. The platters, meanwhile, are great for groups. The house special platter is a particular highlight, featuring wings, chicken tikka on and off the bone, sheekh kebab, masala lamb chops, fish pakoras, achari tikka and tandoori king prawns with plenty of chutney and salad for good measure.
The chef's specials are ideal for individual ordering, with options like rara ghost masala, taka take prawn masala, sharabi chicken or lamb or a mixed karahi where diners can choose their preferred heat level. Classic curries like tikka masala, butter chicken, madras, vindaloo and more are available too, as are veggie staples like saag aloo or tarka daal.
If curry isn't your thing, the restaurant also serves pizza. There are Italian toppings like pepperoni and mozzarella, as well as Indian ones such as paneer, coriander and chicken tikka. There are plenty of naans to choose from too, ideal for mopping up sauce, including chilli, garlic and coriander, cheese, keema and peshwari. For dessert, try the authentic kulfi, available in pistachio, mango or matka flavour. There is also a dedicated kid's menu, with crowd-pleasers like fish and chips or chicken nuggets.
