The whole ethos behind the restaurant is that the plates are designed for sharing so Yakitori 1 is a great place for dates, birthdays, celebrations, or just an indulgent meal and catch up with friends. The dishes utilise traditional cooking techniques such as the robata flame grill. From the grill, you'll find plates of skewers served with fresh spring onions and peppers, with each skewer marinated in a special glaze to match the flavours of the meat.
Sushi-lovers will want to skip straight to the delicate flamed nigri, served with bite-sized sushi rice. You'll find all your seafood options here such as prawn, salmon, tuna, sea bass and the Japanese speciality of eel.
While you might want to opt for a selection of sashimi and nigri to share, there are also larger sushi dishes such as the maki rolls. Popular choices include the prawn dragon roll which features crunchy tempura prawns, cucumber and avocado wrapped in sushi rice.
If you want to avoid sushi, there's a range of wok-fried rice and noodle dishes served sizzling fresh from the grill. Choose either the cha han sticky rice or yaki soba egg noodles with your choice of protein - each dish is packed full of flavour and tossed along with crunchy vegetables.
