Although small in appearance from the entrance on Kenwyn Street, Yak and Yeti is surprisingly spacious. Extending throughout the property, additional to the restaurant, there are two large rooms available to hire for private parties and functions, and for the warmer summer months a lush green terraced garden is hidden away at the rear of the premises.
With Nepalese cuisine traditionally focusing on producing a steamed, mountainside flavour - a mix of fresh, herb infused powerful dishes sums up the menu produced by the Nepalese chef - light to the palate but lasting on the memory. The owner Sunny grew up in ‘his' Himalayan Mountains, as he calls them, working as a trekking guide for much of his early adulthood. With many stories to tell, Sunny is always keen to recall the odd memory from a time in his native land.
