Wadebridge, a quaint market town located between Bodmin and Padstow, sits on the banks of the River Camel. Legend has it that the town’s bridge is built on wool, although that’s probably to do with the money the town made from the wool trade, rather than wool itself.

Wadebridge also lies at the centre of the Camel Trail, a cycling track which follows the disused railway line from Wenfordbridge to Bodmin, Wadebridge and Padstow. It’s a popular route used by both cyclists and pedestrians, and would make a fantastic day out with friends and family. You can always stop in Wadebridge for lunch en route!

For more activities in and around the area, Wadebridge also hosts The Royal Cornwall Show, which is arguably the biggest event of the year. Not only is it jam-packed with exhibitions, competitions and activities, it’s also a one-stop shop for all things food and farming.

If you’re looking for places to eat in and around Wadebridge, you definitely won’t leave dissatisfied. There are so many great restaurants to choose from, and no matter what you’re in the mood for, be it fish and chips or a Sunday roast, you’ll be able to find it here.
