Turtle Bay brings the passionate, colourful energy of the Carribean to Bath. The rainbow of different reds, greens and yellows that paint the restaurant, as well as an immense portrait of Bob Marley bring the atmosphere of a partying beach shack allowing for Turtle Bay to fully capture the vigour and excitement of the carribean. Located just a minute from the beautiful Pulteney Bridge, Turtle Bay acts as a perfect stop between the independent shops located on top of the bridge and the high street of the city.
With a focus on intertwining British cuisine with that of the carribean, Turtle Bay Bath’s breakfast and brunch options are an array of twists on classic British meals, the ‘Big Kingston Grill Down’ reinvents the full English with a jerk sausage and bacon with curry-spiced chickpeas in tow, whilst keeping the traditional free-range eggs, giving some much needed surprise with breakfast. Turtle Bay also offers an inventive range of vegan and vegetarian alternatives for carribean classics such as the ‘Vegan Yardbird’ which brings together the refreshing taste of watermelon with the powerful kick of hot sauce.
The focus on the grill, also inspires excitement to the food, with the ‘Jerk Pit’ meals being rubbed in ten different spices, giving each one an intense flair. Yet, the menu is not restricted purely to spice, but offers a varying range, from ‘Buddha Bowls’ of salad for something lighter, to chicken roti rolls, to pick up something on the go.
Turtle Bay Bath also has a plethora of different alcohol from Jamaican beer Red Stripe on tap, to cocktails of all sorts such as American icons including Island Iced Tea as well as Turtle Bay developed Reggae Rum Punch.
Turtle Bay Bath captures the thriving, thumping beat of the carribean both within its food, it’s drinks and it’s bustling atmosphere.
