Part of The Boat House group, this Asian eatery and bar in the heart of St Aubin is back in business following its 2014 revamp. Indian and Thai cuisine share the spoils on the menu, which runs from tandooris, tikkas, kormas, jalfrezis and baltis in various combinations to chicken satay, tom yam soup, and pad thai noodles, colourful curries, stir-fries and specials such as whole sea bass steamed in a banana leaf – all familiar stuff, but capably executed and fairly priced for the neighbourhood. Set menus also offer very decent value. There are a couple of wines from India’s Sula vineyard on the short international list, otherwise drink Cobra or Singha beer. The Spice House does takeaways and local deliveries too.
