Embracing the bounty of its surroundings, the team at Welbeck Manor’s restaurant prioritise using local ingredients from shore to shore. From the kitchen, the talented chefs showcase a range of ever changing seasonal dishes that are made from ingredients sourced from nearby suppliers, from hand picked berries to locally grown herbs. So whether you fancy a solid breakfast, leisurely lunch, or a delicious, traditional afternoon tea, Welbeck Manor will be waiting to welcome you, and your dog too, whether you’re staying at the hotel or not. The charming dining room is open from 7.30am until 3pm from Monday through to Saturday, and then again from 6 until 8pm. On Sundays, the restaurant remains open from 7.30am until 4pm.
The Welbeck breakfast includes sausage, back bacon, mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, hash brown, baked beans, choice of fried, scrambled, or poached eggs and toast, whilst the buttermilk pancakes comes topped with a mixed berry compote, Greek yoghurt and maple syrup, or streaky bacon. The Brunel menu includes starters like chicken liver parfait with a winter fruit chutney, and a warm goat's cheese tart with a sweet red onion and balsamic. Your main meal may be the pan fried hake with lemon and lime crushed potatoes, cherry tomato salsa and white wine butter sauce, or the pork belly with a black pudding mash, apple puree, roasted parsnips and cider sauce.
If you dine on the terrace, you'll spot dishes like ham and English mustard ciabatta, breakfast baps, and scampi and chips, along with omelettes and seasonal pies. For dessert, try the lemon tart with clotted cream and a fruit compote, or the apple and winter berry crumble with vanilla custard.
