This Slaughtered Lamb bears no relation to the fictional boozer in the cult movie An American Werewolf in London, although it has certainly cultivated its eccentric side – just look at the rifle-wielding stuffed rabbit presiding over the bar. The pub’s pleasing shabby-chic appeal also extends to antique portraits & china plates on the walls, worn chesterfields & bygone-era fireplaces, while the list of hoppy brews casts its net wide – from Camden Wheat Beer, Wells’ Bombardier & Courage Directors to Negro Modela, Pacifico Clara & Brooklyn Lager. To go with the booze there’s a stoically traditional menu for the old guard – sausages with mash & gravy, chicken & mushroom pie. DJ nights, live music & pub quizzes are held in the basement bar.
