Cottons Hotel and Spa is a four-star hotel in Cheshire, next door to Tatton Park and Knutsford. And while modern rooms and excellent spa facilities are the hotel’s main selling points, its elegant restaurant and bar are certainly not to be missed.
Dishes are created using fresh seasonal ingredients while the restaurant’s partnerships with local suppliers ensure the passionate kitchen team can easily create tasty and vibrant dishes, plus ever-changing daily specials. Guests can choose to be seated in one of its blue booth seats in the bright dining room, or opt for a table by the fire if its cosiness and warmth you’re after. Whatever your hunger levels, its various menus include everything from light bites to signature dishes. Opt to dine from the Cheshire taste table and feast on fresh seafood, artisan cured meats and seasonal salads, while steak-lovers can choose a dish from the Inka grill. Other main courses include fish and chips, a classic burger, monkfish with a red wine shallot butter sauce, rosemary, potato, baby leek, artichoke and caper puree, or pork belly with morcilla black pudding, onion puree and cauliflower cockles. There is a special vegan menu available as well, that’s packed full of plant-based options.
Brunch is served every day, from pastries and speciality tea to eggs benedict. Or, why not book in for afternoon tea, perhaps as a treat at the weekend or a gift for a loved one? It’s served daily until 5pm and you can add an optional glass of champagne for a special touch. In the warmer months, why not move it outside to the summer terrace?
On Sundays, you can’t beat a proper roast, and that’s exactly what’s on offer from 1pm-5pm, with the option to make it sparking with a glass of AYALA Champagne. Go for slow-roasted rump of Bowland beef, Yorkshire pudding and red wine jus before finishing with sticky toffee date pudding butterscotch cream, candied pecan, butter toffee ice cream and treacle sauce.
Don’t miss some of the bar’s signature serves, such as an English 75 or Negroni Sevilla, while an extensive gin list, international wines and draught beer are all on the menu.
