With three floors, five unique party rooms, a selection of resident DJs every night, and a number of offers and booking options, The Philharmonic in Cardiff claims to have something for everyone. Perhaps the names of any of its rooms (The Secret Garden, 360 degrees, The Philly Bar, The Gold Lounge, the Heinekein Rooftop Terrace, the Room With A View...) ring a bell, but this venue offers a lot more than just a spot to party.
The inside of The Philharmonic (sometimes referred to as 'The Philly') is decorated with a variety of entertainment purposes in mind, so it's hard to establish a real theme for the place, but some stand out - their 'Ginventory' is their main bar with a huge selection of gins on the wall, while their Fine Dining Room is put-together and their Club Room has a lot of room for dancing. And because of its extensive series of offers and prizes, expect to see a diverse clientele.
At any given time, The Philharmonic has at least six menus, including Brunch/Lunch, Dinner Grazing Plates, Secret Garden Brunch, Drinks, Bottomless Brunch, or the Buffet. There are a lot of options for the vegetarians, vegans, and gluten free members of the group on any of the food menus. The Dinner Grazing Plates offer smaller options for those who aren't as hungry, or for those who want to try out an assortment of appetizers including Patatas Bravas, Halloumi Fries, Vegan Meatballs, or the Chicken Wings. The Brunch and Dinner mains are the same, so you can get some savoury dishes at all times, but they also have a lot of other breakfast options.
As a bar, The Philharmonic's spirit of choice clearly is gin - there is a long gin menu, and any mixer + gin during Happy Hour is offered for only £4. But don't worry, there's lots of other spirits, wines, and beers on the menu for those who don't like the taste of gin.
