Just around the corner from Onslow Gardens in South Kensington, The Orangery is located within the ultra-chic Number Sixteen hotel, part of the Firmdale Hotels brand.
After a busy morning shopping in Harrods, or strolling around Hyde Park, you’ll find an impressive menu at The Orangery, no less than you’ll be surrounded by beautiful blooms and decor. Outside of The Orangery is a spectacular garden filled with shady mulberry trees, colourful hydrangeas, an exotic koi pond and a romantic pagoda; this setting is nothing short of beautiful. A great spot for dining and drinking with loved ones, colleagues, or hosting a celebratory event, The Orangery and gardens at Number Sixteen Hotel are peaceful and bright.
Breakfast begins with classic pastries, omelettes, eggs just as you like them, and rolled jumbo porridge oats, served fresh with your choice of milk, water or cream, and several delicious toppings. Pancakes, maple syrup and optional bacon are a firm favourite on the menu, along with crushed avocado, heritage tomatoes and goat's cheese on toast.
For a special occasion, enjoy afternoon tea at £45 a person, or £57 with a glass of Rathfinny Rosé, with a delectable menu that contains roast beef and watercress pesto on brown bread, oscietra caviar and sour cream blini, and a blueberry and white chocolate éclair. The a la carte menu includes a Number Sixteen club sandwich, roasted sea bream, and classic steak frites.
Finish off your dining experience with some light poached peaches, fennel and honey parfait. The Orangery at Number Sixteen Hotel has been designed in British designer Kit Kemp's individual style, featuring hand picked works of art. Kit’s Design Studio is just a short five minute walk away, so those who enjoy her designs can continue to peruse her works.
