The Old Club House pub and restaurant is the original clubhouse of the famed Machrihanish Dunes Golf Club, nestled on an extreme outpost on the Mull of Kintyre. Converted in the 1970s to become a pub, The Old Club House has undergone a major facelift in recent years to make it one of the most attractively contemporary meeting places in this corner of Scotland while maintaining all its tradition and charm too, still feeling very much unchanged in the last hundred years or so, still a traditional 19th. On the edge of the very first hole, The Old Club House offers views over the course to the wild Atlantic Ocean beyond, a stunning setting for any occasion. As well as its trademark array of beers on tap and single malt scotches, The Old Club House offers up fine cuisine combining the best of Scottish tradition with pub-grub and grill favourites on an unpretentious, welcomely concise menu. A good children’s menu is also available.
