Situated in a beautiful spot along the picturesque beachfront of Swansea Bay, The Observatory offers customers the chance to drink and dine at a bar and restaurant while watching the waves crash upon the shore. Wonderfully crafted cocktails are served alongside delicious dishes, including snacks like cakes and bakes from the counter. At The Observatory, your four legged friends are more than welcome, so you can enjoy the experience with the whole family. The doors open daily from 10am until 10pm, with extended hours until 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays, so you can stop in for a bit to eat at any time of the day.
Brunch kicks off with a granola bowl made with Greek yoghurt, berry and almonds, seasonal fruits, mixed nuts, seeds and a drizzle of honey. Also included at this time of day is the house avo on sourdough, with whipped pink feta, lime, fresh pickled chilli, nuts and seeds. The organic house tofu scramble is made using cavolo nero, roasted tomato, pickled red cabbage and harissa oil, and the halloumi couscous salad is a great dish to order if you’re in between brunch and lunch – it contains warm Mediterranean couscous, mixed leaves, slaw, nuts, pomegranate, fried halloumi, hummus and balsamic dressing.
When the sun sets, the evening menu comes out. Enjoy sharing boards to eat with the rest of your table, the Mediterranean board comes with a selection of cured meats and cheeses, fruit and veggie sticks, olives and sun dried tomatoes, hummus and warm flatbread. Small plates include truffle and parmesan fries, cod goujons with lemon pepper mayo, and creamy garlic mushrooms. There are also a selection of pizzas and salads on the menu, along with desserts like the red velvet cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding.
