The King's Arms restaurant and pub in Litton in Somerset has been welcoming travellers and visitors for nearly six centuries and enjoys one of the best situations imaginable at the foot of the Mendip Hills with the River Chew splashing down waterfalls and running through the gardens. Dine in the pub, the restaurant, the gardens or by the river for lunch and supper very day. The dining room has been carefully and sympathetically modernised with oak and mixed slate floors, wooden tables, cosy booths, exposed stone walls and views of the lovely surroundings. The head chef Joao Duarte who led a Michelin star restaurant for a number of years, uses the finest locally sourced produce -- organic whenever possible – in his creative dishes. The King's Arms’ menu features modern gastropub cooking with a fine line in steaks as well as a good choice of vegetarian dishes. The informal yet attentive service is delightful.
