The reason being, that on Thursdays, The Old Manor House Hotel offers a tempting steak deal menu in addition to their a la carte offerings. All of the steaks are 35 day dry aged Hereford beef from BS35, and served with a roasted tomato, flat mushroom, hand cut chips, and a green peppercorn and brandy sauce. You can choose from a rump steak, ribeye or t-bone. Start with an ashed goat's cheese salad with sun blushed tomatoes, olives and pickled walnuts, or some beer battered tiger prawns served with a sweet chilli sauce.
Then, perhaps you'll enjoy the Old Manor roast, served with duck fat roast potatoes, a Yorkshire pudding, seasonal vegetables and gravy, or roasted pork belly served with a mozzarella and chive croquette, grilled apple, tenderstem broccoli and a red wine jus. Some of the vegetarian and vegan dishes include a sweet potato, spinach and butternut squash pie with a garlic pomme puree, market vegetables and gravy. Desserts are delicious, and range from an apple, cider and stem ginger crumble served with vanilla ice cream, to a cinnamon creme brulee with amaretti biscuits.
