Dating back to the beginning of the 18th century, this old brick and timber warehouse was originally used for storing tea and may have also been a brewery. Back in the 1970s it was relocated and
reconfigured, moving from a sawdust-strewn drinking den to a sprawling complex comprising a bar, function suite, a family-friendly pizzeria and this timber-framed grill festooned with old dockland
artefacts. Steaks, gammon, chicken and burgers all get the treatment, but the menu also features a host of international favourites ranging from baked Camembert, blackened Cajun salmon and pork
belly with bubble and squeak to Caesar salad and puds such as New York cheesecake. Steak club sandwiches are favourite fill-up at lunchtime, and there are traditional roasts on Sundays.
