Situated in the north of the Isle of Skye on the Trotternish Peninsula, the Ferry Inn is a charming hotel, bar and restaurant in the fishing village of Uig. With a well stocked bar that locals love, a restaurant that serves guests delicious small plates, and just three boutique guest rooms, this family run inn is dedicated to offering a comfortable and friendly place to drink, dine and rest while exploring the beautiful Isle of Skye. If you find yourself in this part of Scotland, be sure to pay a visit to The Ferry Inn, we just know you won’t regret it.
Ingredients and produce at The Ferry Inn are sourced from a range of local and regional producers, including the shellfish, meat and cheese, and the majority of the menu is cooked in house, including the bread and pastries which are made each day. To start your meal, why not order an aperitif? Perhaps you will enjoy the Highland Blonde made with Seven Crofts gin, elderflower liqueur, grapefruit, Lillet Rose and lemon bitters, or the Orchard Shrub which is bittersweet. Share some snacks with the rest of your table, whether it's the warm Harris Gin soaked perello olives with pink grapefruit, Skye seaweed, thyme and pepper, or Great Glen venison salami. Plates do change depending on seasonal availability and local produce, but you can rest assured that each sounds delicious.
The Loch Bay lobster comes in half or whole form and is fully prepped with lemon and house aioli or warm with fennel and a herby garlic butter. Uist scallops with a Stornoway black pudding crumb, Scottish dry aged ribeye steak and a Uig wild garlic potato salad are all menu favourites.
